Parallelism

The parallelism section lets you choose how many hubs GhostSurf checks at the same time. Because testing a hub may take up to 8 seconds, and because you may have hundreds of hubs in your list, it is important to allow GhostSurf to check more than one at a time--otherwise, it may take a long time to calculate the speed of the hubs in your anonymous hubs list. The more hubs you allow GhostSurf to check at once, the faster the process will go. However, older computers aren't able to handle checking many hubs at the same time. You may wish to be judicious if your computer runs slowly when checking hub speed. You may choose any value between (and including) 4 and 25. We recommend 15.

You can also enter how many simultaneous browser requests you would like to handle. The greater this number, the more work GhostSurf must do but the less waiting your browser has to do. In general, this number should be higher for faster computers and lower for slower computers. We recommend 15; you may choose to have as many as 25 or as few as 4.

Proxy chaining

If you want to chain proxies together on your computer, and you want GhostSurf to be at the end of that chain (as it should be), you should select the "Allow proxy chaining button." For much more information on this topic, please read the proxy chaining article.
